7th May

Regent’s Park

There really is a lack of migrants around , which is quite depressing. In reality there is only about another week to go before it starts to dry up.

Today

Cackling Canada Goose: still present.

Common Shelduck: the family of 13 are/were still alive and kicking at 2.00pm.

Swift: 14 were over the lake this afternoon.

House Martin: 8 birds were feeding low over the lake in a shower.

A nest relief has to be carried out fairly sharpish in case gulls or even the nearby Coots feel like feasting on their eggs.
