        Royal Park Bird Review

Great crested Grebes are not fairing very well in 2 out of the 3 parks that they are found in. Regent’s Park used to have at least 4 breeding pairs, now that is down to 2 with only one of those pairs managing to rear a single youngster to fledging age.

This male Bar-headed Goose and two females didn’t originate in the park and sometimes leave the park for a month or two if the weather gets to cold.

The area around the Bandstand can be one of the best places to get up close to this species, particularly during the spring and summer.

I was able to monitor and assist when needed this pair, resulting eventually in 3 juveniles being accomplished hunters?
