Regent’s Park

Common Whitethroat: 4 birds present in areas 2, 31, 34 and 39.

Apart from these there are a few Chiffchaffs beginning to take up territories as well as Blackcaps. The pair of Kestrels in area 48 were seen mating this morning.

Bushy Park

Common Shelduck: a pair dropped into the Brew House Fields again this morning.

Common Buzzard: three singles were seen; one flew low south at 9.10am and two very high thermaling birds were seen at 12.30 and 12.40pm.

Common Whitethroat: a slight increase today with at least 6 present.

Willow Warbler: again only one heard.

Reed Bunting: a male was singing by the Scrape.

Unless the grass starts to grow soon, Skylarks will struggle to find a safe place to nest.
