Bushy Park

Mandarin: 11 birds along the Longford River and in the Woodland Gardens.

Carolina: drake was in Woodland Gardens.

Red Kite: one very high bird flew north at 12.00pm.

Common Buzzard: one was seen and heard between 8.00am and 9.00am. The same or another flew north at 12.03pm.

Sparrowhawk: a female was hunting around the feeding station that is west of the Longford River just before it enters the Waterhouse Pond. A male was also seen soaring over the wood.

Lapwing: a flock of 32 flew south at 12.05pm.

Common Snipe: one was on the Scrape at 7.00am.

Redwing: a number of birds feeding on the ground in the Woodland Gardens.

Siberian Chiffchaff: the bird was again present in the same location as Friday. It was impossible to photograph as it fed in brambles and sallows almost at water level. The views were unbelievable and the light was good, but branches got in the way.

Chiffchaff: there were at least 3 birds on or close to the Longford, one sometimes with the Sibe.

Goldcrest: at least 4 birds feeding alongside the river.

Lesser Redpoll: one at the northern end of the Woodland Gardens.

Siskin: still good numbers in the Woodland Gardens.
